I can’t believe it’s the last day of April and tomorrow is May 1. My how time flies when you’re having fun. Tonight in beautiful San Felipe, you can hear the Agave Blues strut their stuff at the JollyMon Bar beginning around 6:30 p.m. Lynn wrote today to let us know about the fight: “This Saturday, May 1, JollyMon Bar will broadcast the Floyd Mayweather/Shane Mosley fight LIVE from Las Vegas on HBO PPV. Come early for good seats. No cover charge. No reservations. Fight stuff usually starts at 6pm PT……Join the excitement. JollyMon is located in Plaza Paraiso Km 178.5 (across from the big, green crockodile sign.” It should be a great fight and my money is on Mosley. Khye Blair with his shades on. Speaking of cute grandchildren, I know I have been posting a lot of photos of my little grandson, but it won’t last forever. Lola, owner of Alicia’s Beach Condos, sent me a photo of her new grandson at Sharp’s Hospital in San Diego. What a cutie and congrats to Lola. This is actually the second time I have typed Friday’s posting. I received a comment while I was typing and not thinking, I simply clicked on the comment and when I came back to my post, it was gone. Bummer.
Today in Mexico it is Dia de Los Niños or Day of the Children and Shawnee, Kat’s field reporter, was down there and sent some photos. They had a party for the kids with performers. Thank you Shawnee.
In response to one of my postings, Cory Dudley had this to say: “It seems to me every time I turn around there is some group gathering funds for this or that. How about collecting fund to “help” keep the city clean. We have a great source help that is available 24/7…people just sitting around in the rehab centers in this area. We could assign each center with a specific area and give them the funds for what is needed to help keep the centers going. With regards to the fishermen dumping trash at days end, we need two or three policemen walking the Malecon during these times and fining those that dump trash.“ Hit them where it hurts, in the pocket book.
