I spoke with another woman who lives in the Ejido today and she and a few people she knows were also called by our newest scammer. She was called quite a few times with the ruse that she knew the gentleman on the other end of the phone. The only suggestion I have is to hang up, even if you think it’s someone you know. Or, ask them a personal question, for example “Where do I live” or “Where am I from” or just hang up. That’s the safest bet. Gardina sent me this photo with the subject line of “At the fossels”.

The meeting at Rosita’s Restaurant this afternoon was attended by Martin Romo, Ruben de la Peña of Cotuco and in the words of Martin: “Dear friends, I would like to thank all of those who were at the meeting today. We had a wonderful help. Thanks to Kat from Kat’s Korner who donated $1’000.00 pesos; to the Willmoore family $100.00 dollars and to Roy and Lorraine gardner who after the meeting brought items already. On Sunday, Jim & Shirley Moore from Lions [are] going to deliver plenty of food. God bless all!!! I have some earthquake relief news from various persons in San Felipe. This is from Martin Romero: “Dear friends, yesterday a group of teenagers from our church in San Felipe,went to the Valley of Mexicali,to deliver help speccially in Guadalupe Victoria Valley. The police Department took us over one of the worst places to give our assistance.Since last weekend our group of teenagers at the church,were asking for help in several streets. They were blessed and collected $1’000.00 dollars. We bought plenty of items such as canned food,diapers,whole dry milk, cereals, bottled water, feminine products, vegetable oil, potatoes, juices, cookies among others items.
