Happy Memorial Day to everyone. It’s certainly has been a busy weekend. Unfortunately, I’ve had this killer headache for what seems like three days so after going out to get some photos of the International Volleyball Tournament, which was supposed to start at 10:00 and by 11:10 it still hadn’t started I left. Of course, the music blaring didn’t help the headache much and I’m sure it was a great tournament once it got started. I did take a couple of photos of them practicing.

First of all, I want to thank Irene Smith for letting me know about the cost for entering the Fiesta del Sol on the Malecon, which will also be running this afternoon. This may have been a last minute decision by the promoters, but I was told it was $15 per day and with that, you receive a T-shirt and a bottle of wine or a six pack of beer. I was not here to get her telephone call, nor did I check my email this morning, but the bottom line is you can enter for 20 pesos if you don’t want the T-shirt, etc. So, try and make it down for the last day, which is today.
27 May 2010 – Thursday.
It’s almost Friday and the beginning of Memorial Day Weekend. I certainly hope we get the crowds we normally do or we used to get as it is sorely needed. We have so many things to do this weekend and we’d like to share all our activities with our tourists. That being said, I just want to let you know I did make it up in time to play tennis at 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 and it was a blast. I can’t play tomorrow because I’m going to Mexicali and then onto the United States, but I’ll be back at it this weekend. Speaking of this weekend – so many places to go and so little time to do it in. I suppose I’ll start with the north end of town. Baja Java is having their special breakfasts and I believe a brunch on Sunday. I had breakfast there today and the waffle was very good. The waitress was so cute. She decorated it with a smiley face.
