Update: Karen Bradley, owner of Baja Java, wrote to let us know she gave me the wrong date for the Pot Roast dinner.  The Pot Roast dinner is Tuesday May 25, not 27.  Be there or be square!  Otra update:  The posters around town have the wrong date; my date was correct, so if you see a poster which has May 27, please change it to May 25.  Karen is going to have a “People’s Choice” dinner each month, so give her your favorite home cooked meal and she’ll whip it up!

Wow, it certainly is nice to wake up to beautiful weather and beautiful weather we are having here in San Felipe.  The front page of sanfelipe.com.mx is still being rebuilt, but never fear, Tony’s working on it. May 29 is the Laguna Percebu Poker Run and there are always tons of people who show up for this event.  The Tecate-Score Baja 500 begins June 5 and I understand the closest the race gets to San Felipe is Borrego, which I believe is near Mike’s Sky Ranch.  I am trying to find out if I can get there in my car to take photos, as I don’t have a 4-wheel drive.  I want to try out my new wide angle lens and put them in my gallery.  Speaking of galleries, Kat’s La Gata Loca now has over 116,000 views!

Marge Scott wrote to let me know Los Arcos is having breakfast specials on Sunday, May 23rd from 10:00 til 1:00 with music provided by Tom & Marge Scott from 11:00 til 1:00.  Dinner that same evening is served from 5:00 til 7:00, also with entertainment by Tom & Marge.  There has been a good turnout to enjoy the excellent food and music.  Thanks for “broadcasting” this.  Marge & Tom.  This cactus has been growing like a weed and now has fuzzy thorns on the top.

Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching so make your reservations now and June 1 is Navy Day in Mexico.  There will be a celebration at the harbor that day and a ride on one of the boats.  I’ll post more scoop and photos after I get back from downtown San Felipe!  It’s good to be home.
