Rogelio, the DSL supervisor from Telnor, came to my gate Thursday morning to explain that the fiber optics were cut the afternoon before (2:20 p.m. when I lost the post I was preparing). It was cut by the big machinery working in different sections of the highway, which cause the outages around town and surrounding areas, rather like a domino effect going down and back up. It caused some network malfunction on my Macbook Pro, so sending things to the server has been difficult when all the information I need is on this laptop. Telnor even gave an automated telephone call to “presione numero #1 if your services is work”, so hats off to Telnor for getting on the ball so fast and following up. Hence, the lack of postings. In the mean time, take a listen to my latest podcast with the Delegado and, of course, me pontificating. Photo by VRR.
The enjoy the “Uptown” swap meet tomorrow at the Pavillion Event room and at the restaurant, where an unnamed source said, “it is the best $5 breakfast in town” (it’s actually out of town) and the new owners of the RoadRunner Cafe next to San Felipe Storage has “consistent and excellent” breakfasts. I have meant to stop there to try it out and take some photos of the dishes for my upcoming “Kat’s Food Flair Photography Frenzie” (say that ten times) and I will. As a matter of fact, I was going to pull in the other day after Pickle Ball, but it was closed. LaVaquita has Baja Boys; Agave Blues at the Jollymon and there’s a big fight coming up and Lynne tells me they will have it on their televisions. Enjoy these photos sent by Victor Rodriguez Rattlif, who is now in Washington state in an undisclosed location, but I know here’s near Mount Rainier, which also a volcano. As soon as I work out the network vs. laptop problem I will post and respond to email. Have a good Friday.

Thanks to Victor for the gorgeous photos! And to Kat for super reports and daily dedication to the Korner, even when lines are down.
The 2 to top pictures are Mt. Rainer. The 2 bottom pictures are Mt. St. Helens.
