Well, it’s hump day again in beautiful downtown San Felipe and all over the world – well, maybe in Iran they don’t call it that. Good afternoon San Felipe, which, of course, would have been “morning” but it’s the same old story. I just created a Facebook Ad for Kat’s Korner and SanFelipe.com.mx so we’ll see if it gets any new people down San Felipe way. Cory Dudley has been at it again with his carvings, which are very nice. He says of this one: “The small “stickers” on the Nopales are not done justice in these pictures. A few rocks and some Ocotillo cactus helps.” I think it is so cool that we have so many talented, artistic peeps living in and around San Felipe. Photo by Cory Dudley.
My newest best friend (Angela is on Facebook now so I have to respect that) Shawnee (and her hubby, Bill) sent some sunrise photos for your enjoyment. Shawnee teaches water aerobics at Playa de Oro three days a week and she tells me the water is a bit warm. I’m not sure if you have to live there to go to the classes or not, but you can check with Shawnee and she’ll let you know or more than likely, she’ll read this and make a comment. At any rate, thank you for the photos. Even their dog watches the sun rise – now where else in the world besides San Felipe do you find a dog who enjoys the beautiful sunrises. Nice job on the photo NBF. Photos by Shawnee.
I named the first dog photo “dog meditating” and then the chair fell down. That is so cute. Baja Deek left a comment asking whether the photo of Muffy was before the earthquake or after and I suppose my reply is, which one?? It was after the 7.2 and before the 4.2 but the rockery looks a lot better now. It will look much better when I get home and start planting all the plants I have in mind. It’s going to be “beautimus” and colorful and dog proof. Okay, on the way over the mountains, my daughter and I stopped in Monroe, after leaving my friends ranch. There was a huge garage sale for the benefit of cancer survivors and a woman had to earn $2,700 to enter the 3 day Seattle affair. If you’ll recall, we have an El Dorado resident, Karen I believe who is 70 and she runs this marathon. To make a long story short, they had the best deals. This was the second year and one woman donated a Fox coat last year. Now, I know P.E.T.A. is going to have a fit over this, but I’m still going to wear it cause it’s so cool and soft and was probably made in the 1960′s and I didn’t kill the poor animals, but it’s going to keep me warm this winter – plus I can act like a movie star. Here’s a photo of the front and back.
My daughter is waiting for me to leave so I’ll have to cut the scoop short for today. Mac n Nan are no longer at Juanitos but are at PDO on Saturday nights. Jammin Jim Manning and the Baja Boys are still at JollyMon on Thursday nights and I’ll be out tramping around tonight, here in the Pacific Northwest. Have a great day – I’m going to the river and get a sun tan. Have a great day; I know I’m going to. I guess it’s a Marsha Brady day today. It’s all about me jaja.
