Well, it’s Friday and Super Bowl weekend and today is also my 7th month wedding anniversary. This week went by relatively quickly, but Friday is always my favorite day. I can’t believe it’s only been seven months since we got married; it seems like much longer and I don’t mean that in a negative way. Today is also Denny Flannigan’s birthday and there is a party for him at Rumors Bar and Grill at Playa de Oro. You may want to stop by and tell him “happy birthday” even if you have other plans. If you do, please tell him Feliz Cumpliaños for me. A big thank you to Sandi for asking my buddy Victor to send me some of the Viva event photos. Photo by Victor Rodriguez Ratliff.

I meant to post last night but for some reason, I thought I had so I didn’t check it in the morning. I swear – must be all the corn husks – but my memory is going to Hatti in a hand basket. Oh well, better late than never I always say. I was hoping to hear about the VIVA benefit yesterday and hopefully, some kind and caring person will send me some photos. I suppose I should check my email before I cast the first of a few stones (just kidding). I did, however, receive a nice note from Donna Roberts of Desert Mothers, which is very cool: “Kat I do not know how you do it, but once again you have really helped Desert Mothers even not being here. We got another kiln and pottery wheel, brought down by Barb and Larry Smith donated by Lauren and Janet Brown. They got the information we needed one from Kat’s Korner. Thank-You my friend and a really big Thanks to them. I will be sending you my new wish list soon. I am late for VIVA’S show love Donna.” A very big thank you to Barb and Larry Smith for bringing the goodies down and another big, big thank you to Lauren and Janet Brown for reading Kat’s Korner (1st and foremost) and for your generosity. It is deeply appreciated! Wish I had a photo of you two!

I hope your weekend was all you hoped it would be, in spite of the wind in San Felipe. Don’t worry; sunny days and warm evenings are just around the corner. I got the funniest email from Sam Grubb OM and I want to share it with you. “Baja Belle and I met last night (with spouses) for a wild night at La Vaquita. We spent the night talking about you and have come up with the following: “We formed the San Felipe Writers Guild and Margarita Society. We have a series of demands:
