August 21: 15th Annual Los Gordos Chili Cookoff & Salsa Contest
Noon-5pm: Join the fun at this friendly neighborhood “anything goes” cookoff at Restaurant/Bar Los Gordos at Rancho La Bufadora in Punta Banda, 21 miles south of Ensenada. Taste chili ($1dll. fee) and salsas; enjoy raffles and other surprises. Cook’s entry fees are $15dlls. for chili (judging and tasting at 3pm), $7dlls. for salsa (judged at 2pm).
